According to the key recommendations of the restructuring study concerning the TCSP network in the Grand Agadir area, and considering the advanced stage of the first BHNS line implementation, the launch of studies and works related to the construction of two TCSP lines (L2 and L3) is planned to strengthen the TCSP network in the Grand Agadir territory and serve the other densest municipalities: Ait Melloul, Inezgane, Dcheira, Drarga. These two lines correspond to:

For line L2, it follows the predefined route of TCSP line 2 from the 2015 PDU, serving Agadir-Inezgane-Ait Melloul.

For line L3, the route proposed by the 2021 bus network restructuring study serves the localities of Drarga (New industrial zone, Free zone, Agropole, Haliotis…), Dcheira, Inezgane, and intersects with lines L1 (at the Tikiouine interchange) and L2 (at the Inezgane interchange). This route is not yet finalized and requires further feasibility studies and an assessment of its relevance for implementation (service scenarios for Ait Melloul and Laqliaa are currently being studied). Agadir Mobilité (MOD) launched a call for tenders in 2023 for the feasibility studies of the TCSP network lines. The service will be carried out in two phases.

Mission 1: Diagnosis and Study of Routes

This phase, which will last for 3 months, aims to study the proposed corridors in detail to define two TCSP lines, specifying their mode and route. It will consist of three main parts:

  • A diagnostic phase to assess the current situation of TC mobility, conducting the necessary surveys, and performing documentary and qualitative analyses to highlight the key TCSP mobility issues in the agglomeration.
  • A prospective analysis to model the future demand for TC and identify the desired routes and future ridership for the planned lines, and thus determine the most suitable TCSP mode to implement on these two lines.
  • A route analysis to generate variants of the two lines' routes and ultimately finalize the route for study in the second phase.
Mission 2: Technical and Cross-cutting Studies for Each TCSP Line

This phase, consisting of a technical study and other cross-cutting studies, will aim to deepen the technical analyses for the finalized routes and conduct architectural, environmental, and landscape studies necessary to define the design concept for the lines, identify implementation constraints, and estimate the financial cost of their construction.

Additional surveys are planned in this study to enrich the diagnosis and further detail the data on the two selected lines.
